Snider Mountain Ranch is pleased to announce our gap year program for recent high school graduates (ages 17-21).
Through this program, you will:

Live in community 7-10 other young people

Learn transferable leadership skills, hands-on skills (horsemanship, maintenance, outdoor activities).

Deepen roots of faith & establish key spiritual habits

Earn up to 23 academic credits from partnering Kingswood University

SAMPLE WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Typically, Monday to Thursday will be spent:
-
learning - Kingswood intensive courses offered every three weeks; Bible studies; special skills (horsemanship, maintenance)
-
serving - assisting with tasks around the Ranch (barn chores, cleaning, meal prep)
-
building community - team-building activities, game nights, worship nights
-
mentorship - once a week, you will meet with your mentor (assigned at the start of the program) to discuss your learning, ask questions, and be encouraged
Most weekends will be spent:
-
serving - hosting rental groups at the Ranch (including youth groups, off-site work conferences, etc.); assisting with our New Horizons program for potentially at-risk youth
What about days off?
-
Each week we will make sure you get time off. We firmly believe in the value of 'Sabbath' (a day of rest).
What about outdoor adventures?
-
Adventures will be scheduled sporadically throughout the program (dependent on weather & on rental group scheduling at the Ranch). You can expect to enjoy 3-5 full days of adventure every month!

Some of these adventures will include a 5-day canoe trip, hiking in Fundy National Park, a 2-day winter camping trip, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, the Midland ice caves, and more!
